A Global Peace of Mind Film

Deep Look TV

How often you meet a highly talented filmmaker who works from the pure intention to let the viewer experience truly inner peace and love? I remember watching the one hour DEEP LOOK documentary. It consists of a sequence of slow motion film portraits of the people from filmmaker Veysi's circles in several countries, from his 93 years old grandmother in Kurdistan to the English owner of an old timer Rolls Royce. Before I started ti watch I felt tired and my energy level was low. After watching I felt completely re-vititalised, could feel so much alive again, but most important of all ... I could sense clearly a a feeling of ease and inner harmony, reflected in my heart rhythms. What a beauty to know a filmmaker like Veysi, with a vision that each movie can help you to experience of who you are.

Deep Look

The first four years of his life, Veysi Yildirim spent in complete silence because of his congenital hearing loss. This limitation has caused him to miss linguistic feeling – essentially formed in the first two years of one's life. On the other hand, being hard of hearing has been compensated by a greater visual acuity. From the moment he started wearing hearing aids, he became fascinated by the effect of sound on body and spirit. Films are Veysi's medium to reach out to people and have them experience – through cinematographic means – the strength everyone holds within. Being an eclectic, and fascinated by astronomy and mythology, he tries to tell the best stories possible in which the present audience can find inspiration and strength in our times.
