Instock turns food surplus into delicious meals. In Amsterdam, The Hague of Utrecht, you can enjoy it yourself in one of their restaurants. The creative chefs of Instock create the most wonderful dishes each day. They pick up unsold products at local Albert Heins (Supermarkets) and other producers. Like fruits and vegetables with some imperfections, one day old bread and the surplus of meat and fish. Every day is a surprise what the 'Harvest of the Day' is. Not only for the guests, but also for the chefs! Improvising is what they do best.

One third of the food production is wasted. That's 1.3 billion ton per year worldwide! Wasting food occurs in the whole foodchain. Instock wants to change this by turning food surplus into delicious meals.

Food waste starts early in the chain. Producers waste products because of over production, wrong sizes or appearance. After all, customers don’t like imperfect products. Even though a crooked cucumber tastes exactly the same as its straight brother.

Throwing away food does not only cost money, it also wastes energy, packaging and transport. That’s a pity, isn’t it?
