Resources for Human Development (USA)
RHD is a diversified human services nonprofit serving people of all abilities with more than 160 programs in 14 states of the USA. RHD is a pioneer in the socially-responsible business movement, including crossing over into for-profit businesses. RHD prides itself on its history of innovation, not only in the type and quality of the services it offers but also in its management approach rooted in RHD's Values. Program directors and their staff have maximum authority, creativity and autonomy. Central Office staff provide fiscal supervision, management oversight, support and encouragement, and technical assistance to all programs. RHD is committed to the fundamental value of dignity and respect for all human beings, to the empowerment of our consumers and staff, to a collaborative management model, and to the flexibility to meet the changing needs of all our partners and those we serve.
RHS developed a so called 'Bill of Rights and Responsibilities" for Employees and Consumers. In order to really live the values, they sincerely try to incorporate them into everything they do. That's not always easy, but the RHD Bill of Rights and Responsibilities for Employees and Consumers is there to help guide them in living these values. The values are getting alive only if they step up to the challenge and make them work, together. They no not merely encourage all members of the corporation to support and promote the organizational values; they require that they do so.
