education that takes us into the depth of things
In December 2012, Spring College was founded by Sarah Denie and Li An Phoa. Since then we have designed and organised several outdoor courses with holistic learning that takes you into the depths of things. With already hundreds of people we have explored various ecosystems in the Netherlands like the polder, the dunes, the forests and soon the indigenous peat landscapes. We walk and talk environmental issues, economics and value systems, philosophy, arts and ethical living. Amongst others, we seek how to (1) embed our future economic system in ecological principles, (2) integrate our life and work lives into lifework and (3) and connect our daily lives with our longer-term visions and deeper dreams.
Spring College was founded by Sarah Denie and Li An Phoa. Inspired by their own learning experiences – amongst others at Schumacher College (UK), they share a strong wish to create transformative learning spaces around the world. After living a fairly nomadic life over the past years, they returned to their motherland, the Netherlands. They considered it the right time to plant the lessons gained around the world in the fertile Dutch soil, where they may grow, develop and bear fruits for all of those who wish to taste.
