Money Flow Paintings

Tessa Smits creates a special collection of Money Flow paintings, all about inviting the money to flow into your life. Everyone has different issues with money, some find it hard to receive while others have a hard time giving, afraid that there is not enough. But Money is just energy, it wants to flow in and out. These paintings remind you of this every day and each painting has a different message.

Every Money Flow painting is unique. When someone orders a Money Flow painting which is personally made, she tunes in on his or her story, theme or symbols they like. She does not make a design, she works purely intuitive, the painting is created while painting.

First she starts with the background of the painting, this contains not only the gold, metallic & brown paint but also natural materials like earth and old jewelry she buys at the local Spanish market. After making this base she puts a circle in the middle and glue the coins (she works with real money) and gold painted jewelry to the canvas.

Now that the base of the painting is done, she starts to work from the centre of the painting using Dot Art technique to make al kinds of Mandala like designs, shapes & symbols.

When the painting is finished, she will first show it to the collector who ordered it. If he or she likes it, it is sold but if they don’t, they are free to say no. This way she feels free to paint what she feels and untill now nobody ever refused their own painting.

To create a Money Flow painting takes time, dotting is a very slow process and it has to dry in between layers. Small paintings like 30 x 30 cm will take about a week and larger like 60 x 60 cm around 4-6 weeks.
